2023 SUZUKI S-cross

The 2023 S-Cross features more upright and characterful style that should increase its appeal, although it is more of a significant facelift than a complete redesign of the old model that is no longer offered here.

It is identical in dimensions as the previous S-Cross, which was 4300mm long, hence it continues to be Suzuki's largest model (the better-known Vitara is deceptively small at 4175mm long). This indicates that it is just a little bit shorter than the Mitsubishi ASX, which is the MG ZS's main rival.

The Vitara and the S-Cross are both made in Hungary.

A 1.4-liter petrol turbocharged engine with all-wheel drive called "AllGrip" is housed under the hood. Although it won't be known for a few weeks whether this is for Australia, European versions also include a 48V mild-hybrid system.

A robust set of driver-assist features, including blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping aids, adaptive cruise control, and AEB, are included inside. A new 9.0-inch touchscreen display appears to be operating a new infotainment system.

Between 2013 to 2021, Suzuki sold the previous S-Cross in Australia, positioning it as a little more upscale alternative to the funkier Vitara. The SX4 was its predecessor model.
